The cool app by name “Hey” is similar Tinder, a popular dating site. but the special thing about Hey is that it does not do sexy hook ups, it uses shared interests, life stage and favorite activities to connect new female friends
During a report, the CEO and app co-founder of this app was quoted saying:
“We built this app to solve for our own needs as women who have moved, traveled, changed careers, and shifted lifestyles and life stages,” Olivia June Poole, the app’s co-founder and CEO, was quoted as saying.
“Through our adult lives we go a lot of places that our existing friendships do not always support and it becomes time to expand our circles,” Poole added.
Just like the Tinder app , Hey connects with your Facebook account. After which you will fill out a six question quiz that will help the app in sharing your interest and personality.
Users can then find their dream pal, by swiping through until they find the perfect match.
According to the CEO, Olivia June Poole, the idea of this app came to her when she moved to San Francisco. She tried to find females with like mind but ended up finding women looking for the same.
Earlier in 2002, Poole also joined in the foundation of “Ladies Who Vino” a social networking event series that has is meant to bring professional women all over the world together.
For the now, the app is just available in San Francisco and in New York, with hopes of adding more cities in time to come.
