Good Way To Recover Lost Contacts on Android

One of the most important thing on your Android device is your contact, if you’ve lost one or more of your contacts don’t worry. Here is a quick way to bring back those contacts.
First, you have to confirm that your contact list is displaying

At times your contacts could still be on your Android device but they are just not showing in your contact list. To find them, kindly follow these steps
1. Open your contact list
2. Tap on the menu (the three dots in the top-right corner of your screen)
3. Tap settings and hit contacts
4. Open contacts to display
5. You should see a list of the contacts your phone is set to display. Hit all contacts and all the contacts from your apps should now be displayed in your Contacts list.
If you still don’t see your contacts displaying, don’t worry. Here is another solution

Get your contacts from your Gmail account

You might not know this but your Gmail account has a nice feature that helps you restore your contacts; if you have linked your android device with your Gmail account then you can use this feature.
Login to your Gmail account on your computer, open your inbox. On the top-left hand corner, you should see a drop down menu called ‘Gmail‘. Click on it and select Contacts. (See image below for more illustration).

A new tab should open, scroll down and select Restore Contacts. You should see something like this;

On your Gmail, you can choose custom restore for up to 30 days. Hence, any contact added before then will be restored but if you added a contact after that time, it will be lost. Once you finished with the recovery, you need to resynchronize your Android device.
If you want to synchronize again, kindly go to settings on your Android device. Under accounts, tap on synchronize, then tap on the sync now button. If you complete all the steps above, your contacts should return to your phone.

HOW TO PROTECT VALUABLE DATA ON YOUR ANDROID

For you to avoid the problem of loosing valuable data on your Android device, we advise you backup your data through Google. To do that, make sure your google account is connected to your phone.
Go to your phone settings, tap on Backup and reset. Once there, you can adjust the settings for your data backup so that you won’t have to lose anything again. 
Your Gmail account should be underneath the Backup account setting. If you don’t see a Google account there, just tap the button and follow the steps that will display on your screen.
