Qualcomm has announced that its popular processor, Snapdragon 820 which runs on most mobile devices has been upgraded to Snapdragon 821. The Snapdragon 820, having over a hundred devices running on it and found on every high-end Android phone including HTC 10, LG G5, Xiaomi Mi5, OnePlus, will be succeeded by Snapdragon 821.
The company says that its newest processor is 10 percent faster than its own flagship Snapdragon 820 CPU, having a speed of 2.4 GHz, it is built with more power-efficiency, which implies that smartphone and phablet batteries can last longer.
The Snapdragon 820 will definitely boast minor graphics improvements, for example, smartphones with this new chip will be better equipped to run Google’s DayDream mobile VR platform. The chip can as well process 4K videos in smartphones to shown on an external view.
