How To Stop Spam SMS And Text Messages ON iPhone

Spamming has become the order of the day, some individuals have taken it as a hobby. People are aware that they can block email span, but they do not bother blocking text messages or SMS span.

Android users can use different cool SMS apps to block span texts or better still send them to a special folder for later review.

On your iphone device, you probably get lots of spam text on daily basis, have you figured how to block these spam text?

Whether the spam text came from a mobile number promoting a product you don’t intend buying or spam fro bulk sender IDs such as DM-DUNKND or VK-UBERIN whose service you might have used a long time ago.

If you don’t like seeing these spam messages, simply follow the steps below;

1) use the Messages app to openthe spam text messages

2) Tap Details on the top-right

3) If you want to stop receiveing notifications from these senders, simply tap the button next to Do Not Disturb. By doing this, the notifications will be on mute, but you will still receive text messages.

4) If you want to block this sender entirely, tap the i button.

5) Scroll down and select Block this Caller.

If you do this correctly, you will stop receiving spam messages from the bulk senders. But some spammers will use multiple IDs such as DM-SPAM, LM-MORESPAM, BZ-SPAM, etc. to text you.

To stop receiving spam completely, you need to block each of the different senders IDs. Once you’ve done that, the IDs won’t be able to text you.

4) If you want to block this sender entirely, tap the i button.

5) Scroll down and select Block this Caller.
