Like it is said, never forget your little beginning!
Well, GTBank holds the title and marked the beginning of my banking days.
Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has actually been operating in Nigeria since 1991 and to be sincere, I’ve been enjoying their service; they’re doing a good job. We all know how the dollar/naira fluctuation affected online shopping yet GTBank has been smiling on us lately. (very strange)
I was recently charged N320 per dollar for an online transaction, thinking it was my own special Christmas gift until I remembered that Jide Ogunsanya of Ogbongeblog had shared same experience earlier. Hear it from the horse’s mouth
Today, I intend filling the minds of GTBank customers with a piece of information that would come in handy.
So, can one really check his/her GTBank account balance without going to the banking hall or without filling any sort of form?
Yeah! You can
Is there any string attached to this?
Hmm. No! It’s true as love.
In fact, there are benefits.
- It is fast, convenient and simple
- There is no need to enter the banking hall or fill any forms
- You can check your account balances anywhere.
GTBank introduced a mobile service known as Bank 737. A service that lets you check your account balance anywhere, load airtime and/or data on your phone and transfer money anywhere in Nigeria
I previously shared an article on How To Buy Airtime Via GTBank Instant Top Up, you can check that.
Let’s head straight to the reason for this post.
How To Check Your GTBank Account Balance
Checking your GTBank account balance can be done using a simple USSD code.
To check balances on any of your accounts, all you need to do is simply dial *737*6*1# on your mobile phone and follow the on-screen prompts.
After which, you will get a message showing you how much balance is left in your account.
Using the USSD code works well, complications will only occur if you used a different sim card; different from that used on opening your account.
Now, you can sit at home, cross your legs, and check your Gtbank account balance without having to walk up to the bank.
