The U.S. Department of State and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) are currently taking applications for the coming 2016 GIST Tech-I competition.
The Global Innovation through Science and Technology ( GIST), Technology Idea (Tech-I) competition takes applications from scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs within the ages of 18 and 40 who have ideas for a startup in science and technology.
Applications are open to citizens from all the 135 emerging economies.
In order to apply, it is required of you to submit a short summary of your product, research, service, or concept, followed by a larger 750-word executive summary describing the proposed work and the science and technology behind it.
30 applicants will qualify to the finals where they can pitch their ventures to a global audience at the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Silicon Valley. Winners of GIST Tech-I will receive seed capital prizes and all finalists will receive three months of mentoring.
